Wayne County Hospital (WCH) has teamed up with Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Chicago, to deliver personalized, comprehensive cancer care to area residents.

Patients, no matter their cancer type, will continue to receive the quality care they expect from WCH while also benefitting from the expertise of CTCA Chicago clinicians, whose sole focus is treating cancer. This innovative collaboration uses real-time videoconferencing to connect patients with CTCA Chicago oncologists for regular telemedicine visits.

Your Cancer Care Team

Your multidisciplinary care team will be made up of health care experts from both Wayne County Hospital (WCH) and Cancer Treatment Centers of America®, Chicago, collaborating to design and deliver a cancer care plan tailored to you and your individual needs. If you were referred to WCH by another clinician, he or she will also be a part of your team, continuing to play a key role in your overall health and well-being.

How Telemedicine Works

The WCH/CTCA Oncology Telemedicine Coordinated Care Program connects CTCA Chicago medical oncologists and other health care professionals with patients at WCH, using a secure system that includes a TV monitor and camera. It means less travel for the patient and their family, while still providing world-class cancer care.
