Corydon, November 16, 2012: The Wayne County Hospital Clinic System has introduced, PrimePatient®, their new patient portal, designed to improve the efficiency of patient services by offering a secure, web-based communication portal. This system helps clinic patients pre-register and prepare for their appointments well in advance of a visit. Online bill paying and educational assistance are additional benefits provided. Patients can easily submit appointment requests online, including the reason for their visit and a preferred day and time, and receive a confirmed appointment. Decreased wait time and improved scheduling times result in higher patient satisfaction.
This powerful communication tool also enables the free flow of dialogue between the patient and clinicians through secure and confidential channels, including physician/nurse comments including reporting lab results and follow-up instructions. Clinic patients can contribute to their own personal health record by completing this information ahead of time online using the patient portal.
Accessing the clinic patient portal is easy. Simply go the www.waynecountyhospital.org and click on the “Patient Portal” at the top of the page. Once you create your personal account you will be able to use any of the services provided. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Rupe, Director, Wayne County Hospital Clinic System at 641-872-2063 for assistance.
