Corydon, December 28, 2012: We are pleased to announce the addition of Roberta Walburn, MSN, ARNP to the Wayne County Hospital and Clinic System medical staff. She will start in March 2013.
Roberta brings extensive advanced nursing experience including providing primary care to all ages, emergency room coverage and obstetrical patient care. She served as a nurse manager for a family birthing center, developed a home care program for new mothers and babies, and has been a Lamaze prenatal class instructor. During her career, she has worked at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Nurse Force, Inc., Mercy Medical Center, and Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. For the last 13 years, she has been with Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa, Decatur Medical Services in Leon, Iowa.
Roberta received her Family Nurse Practitioner, MSN from Drake University in 1999, and her BSN from Grand View University, Des Moines in 1991. She completed her initial nurse training and received her diploma from the Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, Des Moines, in 1973. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Roberta’s tentative schedule will be:
1. Training at South Central Iowa Medical Clinic orienting on Greenway EHR and clinic processes.
2. Her future schedule will evolve going to the Lineville Medical Clinic Tuesday – Friday.
