Nurse Practitioners Join WCH Medical Staff

Corydon, December 26, 2012: We are pleased to announce the addition of two nurse practitioners to the Wayne County Hospital and Clinic System medical staff. Both will start on January 10th.

Karen BozwellL, MSN, RN, ARNP, FNP-BC
Originally from New York, Karen’s family’s move to the mid-west eventually brought her to Centerville, Iowa. She completed her BSN degree as an Honors graduate at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa in 2006. She received her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas in 2011. She also completed Core Advanced Practice Nursing courses at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Karen has a special interest in mental health and rural health medicine. She also completed a clinical rotation specific to serving the socioeconomically disadvantaged population.

Karen’s tentative schedule will be:
1. Training at South Central Iowa Medical Clinic orienting on Greenway electronic health record and clinic processes.
2. Her future schedule will evolve going to the Seymour Medical Clinic on
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday following completion of the remodel.

Kimberly Riebe, MSN, NP-C, FNP-BC, ARNP
A Des Moines native, Kimberly has worked PRN for WCH for several years as part of the nursing department and managing hospital policy and procedure documentation.

Kimberly Riebe, MSN, ARNP

She received her BSN in Nursing from Grand View University, Des Moines, Iowa in 2005, and her MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner at Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia in 2012. She also completed three years at Des Moines University in the Medical School program from 2006-2009. Her work experience includes providing primary care to adults and children, working in the emergency department at Iowa Health Systems, Des Moines, and working on the Cardiovascular Unit at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She has devoted time to tutoring and teaching medical and nursing students in a variety of courses.

Kimberly’s tentative schedule will be:
1. Training at South Central Iowa Medical Clinic orienting on Greenway electronic health record and clinic processes.
2. Her future clinic schedule is tentatively planned to be:
Thursdays Lineville Medical Clinic
Fridays South Central Iowa Medical Clinic
Saturdays South Central Iowa Medical Clinic
