May 18, 2015 Corydon, IA We are pleased to announce Maggie Lindsey, BSN, RN as the new Specialty Clinic Director effective June 30, 2015, following the retirement of Suzy Stern, RN. Maggie begins her training at the Specialty Clinic this week during her off days at the Dialysis Unit.

Maggie brings extensive clinic experience, management experience and a deep commitment to patient care and comfort. This position is responsible for coordinating specialty provider and patient schedules, implementing and supervising all Specialty Clinic activities.

Maggie received her training from Mercy College of Health Sciences completing both her Bachelors and Associates degrees, and has been a nurse for 15 years. She spent three years working at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines on 5 South; a Medical/Surgical/Urology/Trauma/Kidney and Pancreas Transplant/Plastic Surgery unit. After moving to Leon, Maggie joined WCH working on the nursing floor and doing obstetrics. She has worked in the Dialysis Unit for 11 years and has been the director for the last four and half years. She is actively involved in the National Kidney Foundation as a volunteer to educate and raise awareness for kidney disease. And, is a member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association. Maggie is a graduate of Seymour Community High School.

Maggie and her husband, Cody, have been married for 12 years and make their home in Leon. They are the proud parents of 7 year old twins, Lucas and Breegan. Cody is the owner of Lindsey Construction.

Maggie is active in her community and is involved in: Methodist Church Sunday School Coordinator, President of Park and Pool Board, Vice President of Chamber of Commerce, Leon Revitalization Committee Member, Secretary of Cemetery Association, Chaplain for P.E.O., Parent Teacher Organization Volunteer, Little League Coach and Team Sponsor, and was the recipient of the 2015 Leon Citizen of the Year award.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, fitness, traveling, DIY projects and volunteering.
