Amanda Fenton, RDH
Corydon, December 11, 2012: Prairie Trails Family Dental welcomes Amanda Fenton, RDH in her new role as a registered dental hygienist. Patients can now receive complete dental hygiene care with their favorite local hygienist providing outstanding service.
Originally from Centerville, Amanda is a graduate of Centerville High School. She completed her dental hygiene program at Kirkwood Community College in May 2012. She is board certified passing both the National Written Dental Hygiene and the Central Regional Dental Testing Service (CRDTS) exams. She is also certified to administer local anesthesia. Amanda had previously worked at the Prairie Trails Dental Clinic as a dental assistant from 2008 – 2010 before returning to school for her dental hygiene certification.
While in dental hygiene school, Amanda made the Dean’s list for academic excellence. She successfully completed her clinical training at a variety of different settings including the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry, and an assisted living unit. She also volunteered providing oral hygiene at a prison and visited elementary schools to educate students on the importance of oral hygiene.
Amanda takes pride in putting her patients at ease and enjoys helping them achieve optimal oral health. Her motivation and enthusiasm for learning are great assets. She is looking forward to providing comprehensive, up-to-date care, with emphasis on treatment planning and providing thorough patient education.
