We are pleased to announce the appointment of Joan Byrns to the position of Materials Management Director following the retirement of Doris Pollock. This position is responsible for the acquisition of supplies throughout the organization and reports directly to the CFO.
Joan has been with WCH since 2005 and brings a variety of work experience to her position. Prior to moving into the Purchasing Clerk position in 2012, Joan held the position of Admitting Clerk/Patient Services Representative.
Before joining WCH, Joan worked at the Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 29 years. While there she was involved in many aspects of patient care including screening admissions, handling Medicare admissions, developing care plans, implementing privacy practices, and served as a member of their quality assurance team.
Joan and her husband, Bill, have two daughters, Olivia and Adele and live in Allerton.
