Corydon, Iowa – December 11, 2025 – Wayne County Hospital is pleased to welcome Ryan Arnevik, DO, to South Central Iowa Medical Clinic in Corydon as a Family Medicine provider. Dr. Arnevik brings more than a decade of experience in comprehensive primary care, chronic disease management, and patient education, along with deep ties to South Central Iowa.

Dr. Arnevik completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa before earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, in 2010. He then completed his residency training at UnityPoint Bettendorf in Bettendorf, Iowa, in 2013.

Board Certified in Family Medicine since 2013, Dr. Arnevik also obtained additional certification in Obesity Medicine in 2018, strengthening his ability to support patients in preventive health, lifestyle changes, and individualized care planning.

For more than 10 years, Dr. Arnevik has practiced medicine in South Central Iowa, including extensive experience caring for patients in the Centerville region. His clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, and helping patients navigate overwhelming health information so they can make informed decisions aligned with their long-term goals.
“What motivates me most is working with people who care about maintaining or improving their health,” said Dr. Arnevik. “I value the patient-physician relationship and build it on trust, honesty, and shared decision-making.”

Dr. Arnevik believes in identifying underlying causes of illness, not just managing symptoms, and provides thoughtful, patient-centered care for individuals and families across all stages of life.

A unique fact many may not know: Dr. Arnevik has family roots in Wayne County, as his grandfather farmed just east of Cambria, making his practice in this area especially meaningful.
Wayne County Hospital is proud to welcome Dr. Arnevik to our medical staff and excited to expand access to high-quality Family Medicine services for our community.
