Randy J. Metzger, D.P.M. has joined the WCH Specialty Clinic

Corydon, June 27, 2013: Wayne County Hospital (WCH) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Randy J. Metzger, D.P.M. Dr. Metzger will join the medical staff and begin his practice effective July 15th.

“We are very pleased to have Dr. Metzger join our organization. To have a local individual complete their medical training and chose to return to our community to establish their practice is a wonderful opportunity for all of us!” commented Daren Relph, CEO.

A Wayne Community High School graduate, Dr. Metzger was awarded his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2010 from Des Moines University – Osteopathic Medical Center College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Arts, in Biology in 2006 from Simpson College in Indianola. In June 2013, Dr. Metzger completed his 3rd Year Podiatric Surgical Resident Rearfoot, Reconstruction and Ankle Surgery program at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA.

Dr. Metzger has volunteered his time as a summer camp counselor at the Miracle Burn Camp at Camp Foster Lake Okoboji, IA for several summers, and as a medical staff volunteer at the Steamtown Marathon and worked as an A/V assistant.

Outside of work, Dr. Metzger enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycles, travel and taking road trips and college football.

Dr. Metzger will be associated with the Southern Iowa Orthopedic service and working closely with Dr. Shehada Homedan.
