Wayne County Hospital has openings for a Retail Pharmacy Technician, Tech in Training or Clerk. These part time positions will work approximately 16 hours per week, and are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patrons; providing technical support in the delivery of pharmaceutical care; assisting with the preparation and delivery of medication, stocking and ordering of drugs and other products; monitors and maintains inventory for supply ordering and for expired medications; enters medication orders for pharmacist verification; reconciling payments; acquiring pre-authorizations, if needed and any other technical duties of a retail pharmacy technician. The selected employees must have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with patrons, providers and other health care team members.
Pharmacy Tech or Tech in Training Qualifications: Registered, or eligible to register, as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy. Certification or successful completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Program within 12 months of hire required. BLS required.
Clerk Qualifications: GED or high school diploma required; Customer Service Experience preferred
Applicants must comply with HIPAA regulations and must have Mandatory Reporting certification or obtain within 180 days of hire. Competitive salary.
