Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department at Wayne County Hospital provides a comprehensive program for both inpatients and outpatients suffering from pulmonary disease or dysfunction. Our Respiratory Therapy services include assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment, management, and monitoring of respiratory deficiencies and loss of respiratory function.

These conditions include patients with chronic lung problems, such as asthma, bronchitis and emphysema, as well as, heart attack and accident victims, and people with cystic fibrosis, lung cancer or AIDS. We treat all types of patients ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to pediatric asthmatics to elderly people with chronic pulmonary diseases.

Wayne County Hospital provides the services of an experienced, registered Respiratory Therapist to determine and support your treatment options.  Individual respiratory care plans are developed for each patient.  Special attention is given to carefully communicating and explaining the treatment process and answering questions
