Karen joined the WCH Medical Staff in January 2013. Originally from New York, Karen’s family’s move to the mid-west eventually brought her to Centerville, Iowa.
She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing as an honors graduate at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa in 2006. She received her Master of Science degree Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas in 2011. She also completed Core Advanced Practice Nursing courses at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri.
Karen has a special interest in mental health and rural health medicine. She also completed a clinical rotation specific to serving the socioeconomically disadvantaged population.
Karen and her husband, Dustin, make their home in Centerville.
