Established in 1994, Magical Beginnings is a non-profit corporation. The center is licensed by the Iowa Department of Human Services and must pass an annual inspection to maintain this certification. Opened February 2002, the new 9,000sq. foot facility was constructed under the direction of the City of Corydon and is managed by the Wayne County Hospital.

All Magical Beginnings employees are trained in child and infant CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Abuse Reporting, and a variety of other topics applying to childcare. Criminal background checks are completed on all staff members prior to hiring.
