Dialysis Technician
Wayne County Hospital, a 2010 & 2009 Press Ganey Summit Award recipient for outstanding Patient Satisfaction, has an opening for a Dialysis Technician in our Dialysis Department. This part-time position is responsible for direct patient care; machine maintenance; maintaining inventory or parts for Dialysis equipment; management of the water treatment room according to AAMI standards; procurement of all disposable supplies and maintains adequate supply levels; prepares the Dialysis baths as needed; maintains confidentiality regarding all patient/personal information, works rotating shifts; weekends and holidays as scheduled; and assists with clerical duties.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; successful completion of Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician Course; BCLS certified or within 90 days of hire; complete Amgen Core Curriculum for Dialysis Technician by six months from start date; have a Hepatitis B Antigen result that is negative; provide records of receiving Hepatitis B Vaccine Series with a positive Hepatitis B Antibody Level or consent to start receiving the Hepatitis B Vaccine Series with hire; understanding of HIPAA and EMTALA regulations as well as employee and patient privacy; and be Mandatory Reporting certified or obtain within six months of hire.
